GAME WEEK 12 DREAM TEAM.

DREAM TEAM FOR GAME WEEK 12.

DREAM TEAM FORMATION 3-5-2

GOAL KEEPER.
ASMIR BEGOVIC £4.5 BOURNEMOUTH

“Boom am here again in the dream team for two consecutive game week” says the cherries stopper after pulling off another magnificent performance against the new comers Huddersfield at the vitality stadium.

The ten men hosts thrashed David Wagner boys 4 goals to nil. The Cherries went down to ten men after Steven Francis (£4.4) was sent off by the ref after being booked twice.

A clean sheet (3 points), 1 bonus point, 3 saves (1 point) and 90 min played (2 points) saw him became the week’s top goal keeper.

SCORED 8 POINTS.

Begovic was in last week’s dream team and I spoke highly of him, if you missed that article, you can refer to it by clicking here. RECOMENDED.

                                              DEFENDERS

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI (£5.3) ARSENAL

The German international is back in action for the gunners after being away for four consecutive game weeks. The Arsenal defender was sidelined after picking up a hamstring injury when they thrashed Brighton Albion at The Emirates in game week 7.

It is a debut for the Arsenal man in the dream team this season. He entered the team of the week after inspiring his team to win against spurs in the NORTH LONDON DERBY. He scored the opener (6 points), kept a clean sheet (4 points), bagged all the bonus points (3 points) and played the full 90 minutes (2 points).

SCORED 14 POINTS.

TEAMS SELECTED BY: 1.6 %.

Recommendations.

Mustafi is likely to repeat what he did against Tottenham hotspurs at least five times in the remaining fixtures of the season. The German has all the game time and Arsenal shall keep a few more clean sheets before the season ends.  If you are in need of a defender you can run to him because a £5.3m arsenal defender can be a bargain, despite Arsenal not being the most defensive of teams.

MARCOS ALONSO (£6.9) CHELSEA

The Spaniard is back in the dream team for the second time this season after failing to give any offensive contribution for 10 game weeks.

The most expensive defender in the game, owned by over 700,000 managers, has been firing blanks in terms of offensive contribution but scored his 3rd goal of the season  this last game week against the magpies.

He scored a goal (6 points), kept a clean sheet (4 points), scored 2 bonus points and 90 minutes played(2 points) saw the Spaniard join the game week 12 dream team  party.

Recommendations.

The Spaniard happens to be a very offensive defender, considering he plays as a left wing back. He scored 6 goals and assisted 5 times last season. Given that this season he has already scored 3 goals, he is yet to give a few more offensive contribution points to his owners. If you really have enough money in the bank he might be the right and a viable investment opportunity to invest in. But am afraid he might not be the biggest of bargains.

KYLE WALKER £6.6 MAN CITY

The English right back is in good form, this may be due to his team’s excellent form. The former Tottenham star has been consistent in rewarding his owners, thanks to the 4 assists he has provided and the many clean sheets his team has kept.

Walker is in the dream team not because of a goal scored by him not because nor an assist provided but it is because of the clean sheet kept (4 points), being the most influential player in the field won him all the bonus points (3 points) and played for 90 minutes (2 points).

SCORED 9 POINTS.

NEXT 5 FIXTURES DIFFICULTY: 2 2 2 4 2.

TEAMS SELECTED BY: 15 %.

Recommendations.

He is one of the best premium defenders in fantasy premier league. The England international has helped his team keep 7 clean sheets after 12 game weeks.  For 6.6m you can be sure of more than 150 points from him at the end of the season. Recommended for managers who invest highly in expensive defenders. RECOMMENDED.

                                                                   MIDFIELDERS.

EDEN HAZARD £10.6 CHELSEA

(PLAYER OF THE WEEK)

The Belgian international pulled a Talismanic performance in the weekend when they visited the magpies at the Hawthorns stadium. A game that resulted in firing of the long serving Tony Pulis as westbrom manager. It’s a debut for the Chelsea super star in the dream team and it seems he will appear in this article a few more times before the season ends.

Hazard owners, especially those who captained him, were made to feel as if they were in the ‘garden of Eden’ after the premier league superstar scored 2 goals (10 points), assisted (3 points), played 70 minutes (2 points) but got a -1 for being booked.

 Recommendation.

At £10.6, hazard the cheapest of midfielders. He however can be a bargain at the end of the season if he continues with this sort of form. With his hot form, Hazard can hit 200+ points at the end of the season. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED because he will add to your captain options while he still is a differential.

MOHAMED SALAH £9.6 LIVERPOOL.

The Egyptian has been in inspired form since his move from Roma. He sits on top of the premier league golden boot race with 9 goals from 12 matches, with 3 assists as an addition. He appears in the dream team for 2 consecutive game weeks.

Mo Salah scooped all the 3 bonus points on offer, got 1 point for a clean sheet, played more than 60 mins for 2 points and scored 2 goals to earn 10 points.

Salah has scored five double-figure points in 12 game weeks and is now the highest point scorer with 88 points. His next five fixtures scream of a bucket load of goals, the only exception being Chelsea next game week.

He has faced 4 teams from the top six so far and his output is 2 goals and an assist, failing to make any attacking contribution against MUN (77 mins) and CITY (45 mins). The 44.2% owned player is likely to blank against CHE (conceded 10), seeing how he has been ineffective against teams that have conceded few goals MUN (conceded 6), CITY (conceded 7) and NEW who had conceded 10 before shipping in 4 against MUN.

SCORED 16 POINTS.

Recommendation.

Salah is owned by more than half of active fpl managers. In my review of game week 11 dream team, I said if you do not have Salah in your team you should buy him, but now if you do not have him you should probably buy him after the Chelsea game, if you do not have him after that, you are dead!!!BUYYY!!!

WILL HUGHES £4.6 WATFORD.

Watford are becoming the team furnishing us with endless bargains this season. Richarlison has been fpl manager’s darling this season, taking over from team mate Doucoure but now it seems Hughes has joined the party.

3 bonus points, a clean sheet (1 point), one assist (3 points), 83 minutes played (2 points) and scored one goal (5 points) ensured the ginger head made his debut in the dream team in only his second start for Watford.

Recommendation.

Will Hughes has been a young player tipped for great things in the game for quite some time. His move from Derby to Watford seems to be the catalyst he needed to spur his development. He has had a tough time trying to win a place in the team and it seems like finally he has made an impression in the mind of Marcos Silva. He only started his second game and didn’t disappoint, scoring a goal and creating one. Put him in your WATCHLIST.

PHILIPE COUTINHO £8.8 LIVERPOOL.

Coutinho continues to be Liverpool’s inspiration even with the formidable form of Mo Salah. The Brazilian has been dogged with injury concerns while his failed transfer to Barcelona seems to have been put out of his mind at the moment.

Coutinho got 2 bonus points, 1 point for a clean sheet 3 points for an assist played 68 mins to get 2 points while he also scored a goal for 5 points.

Of the 6 games he has played, he has scored double digit points in 3 games. Liverpool’s fixtures are turning for the best after the Chelsea game, if you are among the 5.0% managers who own him then hold on to him, otherwise look to buy him after the Chelsea game. In the only big game he has played, against MUN, he failed to either score or assist.

SCORED 13 POINTS.

OWNED BY 5.0% of total managers.

Next 5 fixture difficult rating (42222).

Recommendation.

His next 5 games are very attractive, he is owned by 5.0% of managers and is definitely still a bargain, get him before his price goes past £9.0. RECOMMENDED.

PAUL POGBA £8.0 MANCHESTER UNITED.

The Frenchman made his return from a long injury to devastating effect for an unlucky Newcastle side. His return saw Manchester united get back to scoring 4 goals, despite going behind to Dwight Gayle’s goal early in the game.

He won 2 bonus points, made an assist (3 points), played 69 minutes (2 points) and scored 1 goal (5 points), despite being taken off early to continue his return from injury.

Manchester United have mixed fixtures in their next five games, BRIGHTON (H), WATFORD (A), ARSENAL (A), MAN CITY (H) and BOURNEMOUTH (H).The next 2 matches are very friendly and looking at the role Pogba has been playing for Mourinho this season, it comes as no surprise that Pogba has 7 goals and assists in the 5 games he has played. He however is yet to face a top 4 side and it is anyone’s guess how he will perform.

SCORED 12 POINTS.

OWNED BY 13.1% of total managers

Next 5 fixture difficult rating (22452).

Recommendation.

At £8.0, Pogba is bound to be a bargain in the long run, considering midfielders from the top clubs are increasingly becoming expensive. Buy him now and look to retain him for the rest of the season. BUY HIM.

FORWARDS.

CALLUM WILSON £6.0 BOURNEMOUTH.

It is a well-known fact that Wilson is a pretty good goal scorer, in fact, he is better than he is given credit for.

In his first season he scored goals for fun before getting injured for the rest of the season. Since then he has struggled to get consistent game time, before bagging a hat trick over the weekend.

He played 90 minutes (2 points), scored goals for 12 points and was rewarded with all the bonus points.

His next fixtures SWA (A), BUR (H), SOT’ON (H), CRP(A) and MUN(A). Very attractive next fixtures for Callum Wilson, he only has to secure a starting place then the goals will follow.

SCORED 17 POINTS.

OWNED BY 1.5% of total managers

Next 5 fixture difficult rating (22224).

Recommendation.

Wilsons’s ability to put the ball in the back of the net is undoubtable. He only has to secure a starting role then he’ll be worth investment. Place him on your WATCHLIST.

OUMAR NIASSE £5.0 EVERTON.

Niasse has had an interesting career at Everton. From being the maligned player who trained with U23 and had no locker in the dressing room under Koeman, to being the solution to Everton’s goal scoring woes. He appears in the dream team for a second successive season.

Niasse won 2 bonus points (2 points), made one assist (3 points), Played 90 minutes (2 points) and scored a goal (4 points).

He now has 5 goals and 1 assist in 3 starts, if that isn’t impressive, I don’t know what is. Everton’s Next fixtures are SOT’ON (A), WEST HAM (H), HUDDERSFIELD (H), LIVERPOOL (A) and NEWCASTLE (A), a very friendly set of fixtures which promise goals for Everton and if Everton score, then Niasse will have a hand in it.

Recommendation.

In our analysis of Game week 11 dream team, we recommended that if Niasse starts in his next match, we’ll have a bargain in our hands. Now that he started, scored and assisted, he is facing a suspension for simulation. Monitor if Everton wins their appeal then buy him, otherwise wait for his ban to end before you get him.

    1. Thanks for the compliment Ashwin, I’ve indicated that Niasse is a doubt for now, depending on the appeal by Everton. Thanks for the heads-up though.
