FPL GAME WEEK 10 CAPTAIN PICKS.

FPL GAME WEEK 10 CAPTAIN PICKS.

Game week 8 Captain picks
Game week 8 Captain picks.

Here is how My last week’s captain picks performed ;

*Romelu Lukaku – 10 points.

*Wilfred Zaha – 4 points.

*Tammy Abraham – 4 points.

*Christian Eriksen – 4 points.

So I am hoping my picks will be more successful this week, here they are;

Sergio Aguero

The argentine is in super form with the goals he bags every single game start he plays. The all-time Man City record goal scorer is expected to replicate his wonderful goal scoring form as the Cityzens travel to the hawthorns to play the baggies.

Already transferred in by over 300k managers ahead of the game week deadline, A good number of managers will be licking their lips at the prospect of the goal-getter running riot against an injury decimated baggies back line.

The only big question at this point in time is whether Pep will rest his goal machine after he played 120 minutes in the Carabao cup in midweek and with Napoli visiting the Etihad on Wednesday. Aguero is full of confidence right now as evidenced by his cheeky Panenka Penalty against Wolves in the penalty shootout and if he manages anywhere between 60-70 minutes over the weekend, it will be enough for him to reward any one who makes him captain with a goal or two.

Roberto Firmino

The Brazilian forward has endured a massive dry spell having gone for 6 games without either a goal or an assist. The last time he made an offensive contribution was in their 4-0 win against Arsenal where he scored and provided an assist.

Facing Huddersfield town who are fresh from a giant killing, Liverpool themselves will be raring to get their form back on track after a 4-1 humbling at the hands of Harry Kane and his team mates and Roberto has to be involved offensively in the final third for that to happen since he is the leader of their forward line.

It might be a gamble make him captain but it might be a gamble that pays off handsomely if the most captained player, likely to be one of either Lukaku or Harry Kane, does not produce any attacking returns.

Alexis Sanchez.

The arsenal talisman is seemingly back to last year’s red hot form looking at his brilliant performance against Everton last week. The Chilean now has enough support upfront Oezil and Lacazette putting up a worthy performance against the toffees last week. Last weekend’s win against Everton was the first time Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Oezil have both started alongside summer signing Alexandre Lacazette, and the result was 5 goals scored against Everton from a losing position of 1-0.

All three players scored in the 5-2 victory, Alexis is valued at £11.8 at the time of writing and is present in only 2.2% of fpl teams. If you are among that very low number of managers who have persevered with him when he wasn’t playing or scoring, now is the time for you to take a punt on him destroying Swansea City this weekend, captain him if you have him.

Harry Kane.

Harry Kane finally ended his Wembley hoodoo in style scoring 2, 1assist and 3 bonus points against Liverpool. Effectively elevating himself to the top of the FPL points scoring table, taking his season tally to 63 points.

With 8 league goals, the Golden Boot holder is now the leading marksman in the Premier League and he looks like he has just started.

Travelling to Old Trafford this weekend to take on a Jose Mourinho side who are yet to concede a goal at home this season, is unlikely to scare Kane’s owners out of making him captain.

Despite not conceding at home, Manchester United have not won in their last 2 league games, following up the 0-0 draw with Jürgen Klopps side with a shocking 2-1 defeat to new comers Huddersfield Town.

I wrote an article last week on how frustrating an option Harry Kane can be, if you missed it you can read it by clicking here. But knowing how he can reward those willing to take a risk on him, I have him in this list despite my feelings towards him.

With United likely to play on the offensive and chase a win, they’re likely to take liberties at the back, which is likely to give Kane chances and we all know how dangerous he is in front of goal. However, we could yet see another “parking of the bus” by Mourinho and end up enduring the heart ache of captaining this man who is likely to be the most captained player this week.
