Fantasy Premier League Cup

 fantasy premier league cup

So it turns out game week 16 is a very important week for fpl managers. This is the week that you either qualify or fail to qualify for the fpl cup. If you are new to fantasy premier league, fpl cup is a very exciting cup that you qualify for depending on your overall position in Game week 16.

The cup is played on knock out basis. Managers are drawn against a random opponent, if you win you proceed to the next round. The number of teams is cut in half every week, for example, top 4,194,304 managers in game week 16 qualify for the first round which is game week 17, and the winners (2,097,152) managers qualify for the next round in game week 18. The elimination continues that way with the number of managers reducing by half each round.

To qualify for the cup, you must have a good game week 16, ensure you score at least above the average score for the week to be safe. Then once you have qualified, you need to beat the opponent you are given every week, simple but also hard. To do this, you need to be active, make your transfers wisely and always be keen to get the right players at the right time as well as get right your captain every week.

I’ll be helping you try to maneuver the obstacles weekly with my posts of the dream team as well as my weekly captain picks, so you better bookmark this site, SUBSCRIBE to it and make it your friend.

So what does the official fpl site say about the cup? :

Qualifying for the cup.

The top 4,194,304 scorers in Gameweek 16 will enter the first round. If there are more than 4,194,304 qualifiers then there will be a random draw amongst the lowest scorers to see who qualifies.

How the cup works.

Each qualifying team will be randomly drawn against another in the first round. The winner (the team with the highest Gameweek score minus any transfer points), will progress to the second round and another random draw, the losers are out! This process continues until the final round when the two remaining teams contest the cup final.

If a cup match is drawn, then the following tie-breaks will be applied until a winner is found:

  1. Most goals scored in the Gameweek
  2. Fewest goals conceded in the Gameweek
  3. Virtual coin toss
