The race to be the highest goal scorer in the premier league this season has turned out to be the tightest and most unpredictable in recent premier league history. Sergio Aguero started the season like a house on fire pummeling 11 goals in 6 matches before Guardiola’s axe hit him, albeit unfairly. Zlatan Ibrahimovic also had a consistent return of goals before enduring his longest dry spell in his 18 year career when he went 6 premier league games without a goal to his name.
